When you plug in your iPod to your computer, it will look for an application/program that will help it run, or else, its battery will just get charged there. iPod released 2 years earlier are sold with a cd, which contains the iTunes application for your computer. iTunes is an application wherein you can organize all your files in your iPod (best recommended for obsessive-compulsives). You can also buy music online with this application, iTunes Music Store. Your iTunes will log you in the net and bring you to the iTunes Music Store where you can choose the music you want to purchase.
